REC N-Peak 330W Solar Panel

KEY FEATURES
  • Low Light-Induced Degradation (LID) – Solar panels with N-type cells degrade significantly less than the standard P-type cells. This means more electricity generation over the life of the panel, as it degrades less.
  • Reliability of a European Brand – Founded in Norway in 1996, REC is the largest European brand of solar panels. Having produced around 26 million panels, REC has solid foundations and a bright future in the solar industry. REC panels also have an enviable low warranty claim rate.
  • Financially Strong Manufacturer REC is a strong company that has maintained a healthy financial position despite very challenging market conditions.
  • Strong warranty – 20-year product warranty and a 25-year output performance warranty. An additional 5 years product warranty is included when they are installed by a certified REC Solar Professional (which Electrical Sensations is), taking it to 25 years product warranty (for rooftop installations up to 500 kW).
  • Improved performance in shaded conditions – The REC ‘Twin’ cell layout design, where the panel is split into two identical and mirrored sections, enables the continued production of energy, even when part of the module or array is shaded.

Our experience with both solar panels & our honest advice

  • If it is your ‘forever home’, you intend to live there for a long time and/or your budget allows it, I would recommend LG NeON panels every day of the week. They come in at a slightly higher price point than the REC N-Peak, but I firmly believe they are worth it! From my experience, the LG NeON solar panels will produce better, for longer, leading to more savings down the track for you.
  • We’ve been installing LG solar panels (previously the LG NeON 2 and now LG NeON H) since 2013 and we have only ever had one LG warranty claim. The warranty team at LG were faultless – they were easy to work with and replaced the solar panel with no fuss. From both an admin and homeowner point of view, LG could have not been better to work with.
  • The REC N-Peak solar panels are still a high-quality product that is going to serve you well for years to come. Just for reference, a lot of solar installers use the REC N-Peak as their ‘top-of-the-range‘, premium solar panel.
  • For us, the REC’s are the more affordable option but don’t get me wrong, they are definitely not a ‘cheap and nasty’ product. We have been installing REC solar panels for around 8 years now and we’ve never had an issue or warranty claim with them. However, we have installed significantly fewer REC panels than LG panels over the years. We are totally confident in the performance, reliability and longevity of the REC N-Peak solar panels, and in fact, every product that we choose to install.

Both the LG NeON H and the REC N-Peak solar panels have high efficiency, exceptional backup support, outstanding warranties and industry-leading technology. We have great confidence in the LG NeON H and REC N-Peak and proudly install both. At the end of the day, it comes down to personal preference and what meets your budget best.
